Engineer Looking At Blueprint On Site

Technical Inspections

Diadilos Solutions is comprised of Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineers, and other technical staff all with many years of experience in a multinational corporate environment. We offer specialized technical inspections for commercial, industrial and residential buildings as well as mechanical and electrical installations.

Inspections are conducted either visually or through specialized equipment with thermal imaging and ultrasounds.

We conduct dilapidation surveys prior to construction projects (i.e. metro, motorways, airports, etc.)

Building Inspections

Visual Inspections

Visual inspection is a very simple, non-destructive technique and usual in diagnosing buildings and structures’ conditions. It also plays an important role in the rapid assessment of constructive problems as well as in the definition of an appropriate way for eventual remedial interventions.

Building energy inspections

Energy inspections, are the inspections which aim to evaluate the building energy consumption. Furthermore energy inspections can determine the amount of energy consumed by heating and cooling devices together with the energy loss due to building materials. At the same time, by identifying the energy profile of a building, measures for reducing the energy consumption can be introduced

Mold and moisture problems detection

  • Detection of mold and moisture issues through thermography (thermal camera)

  • Burst pipe identification

Non-destructive testing” (NDT) buildings and facilities

  • Assessment of the characteristics of materials or systems, without causing any damage to the material.

  • Detection of the strength of construction materials, existence and thickness of steel, corrosion of the concrete, detection and location of reinforcing bars, detection of moisture, routing of piping and cabling, etc.

  • Analysis techniques: ultrasonic, radiography, eddy current test, thermography etc.

Electrical Installations

Visual inspections

Visual Inspection Report (VIR) is a check to identify any visible signs of defects, damage or deterioration to any electrical system. Endoscopes are used to obtain accurate images of areas the human eye in unable to access

Thermographic surveys

Detect abnormally high temperatures within an electrical installation using thermal imaging. A higher than normal temperature indicates a problem within a system that could have serious consequences if allowed to escalate.

Thermal imaging can be used in substations, electrical cabinets, wiring, solar power plants etc while in operation.

Ultrasonic surveys

Ultrasound inspection can be performed at all voltage levels (low, medium and high) and is used to detect:

  • Corona

  • Partial discharge or tracking

  • Arcing

  • Mechanical vibrations (transformers)

Mechanical Equipment

Visual inspections

Visual Inspection Report (VIR) is a check to identify any visible signs of defects, damage or deterioration to any electrical system. Endoscopes are used to visualize the inside of a cavity to obtain accurate images of areas the human eye in unable to access

Thermographic surveys

Excess heat is one of the leading causes of premature equipment wear, damage, and failure, eventually resulting in refurbishment or replacement. By identifying temperature increases, thermographic testing can help reduce or prevent heat damage, extending the service life of equipment and lengthening the time between repairs and equipment purchases.

Thermal imaging can be used in turbines, pumps, heating & cooling systems, gearboxes, internal combustion engines etc while in operation.

Ultrasonic surveys

Ultrasonic testing (UT) is a non-destructive test method that utilizes sound waves. It is used to detect cracks and defects in parts and materials, material’s thickness such as measuring the wall thickness of a pipe, discontinuities within the internal structure of welds, corrosion mapping etc.

Pipe Inspections

Pipe inspections using remote controlled robot-microcamera that is crawling inside the pipe and is operated by the robot's control center. The robot is equipped with a camera and sensors recording exact position, pipe inclination and temperature. A computer analyses the camera's data in combination with the data provided by the vehicle's special sensors. When the process ends, the system presents analytical diagrams of the condition of the pipes and images.

  • Detection of cracks and broken pipes

  • Detection of settlement of a part of the pipe

  • Detection of groundwater penetration into the network

  • Detection of root penetration into the network

  • Checking of joints' water-tightness

  • Detection of illegal connections

  • Detection of concrete residues inside the pipe

  • Detection, control and description of damages and deficiencies

  • Network quality checking

  • Network checking before any programmed road construction

  • Mapping of lost networks

  • Gathering of documents in case there is a demand for compensation
